The Upper Maumee Watershed Partnership meets on the 1st Wednesday of odd months.

Paulding SWCD received a watershed grant from the Ohio Department of Agriculture to focus on improving water quality in the watersheds of the Lower Auglaize River, which is home to much of Paulding County’s population.
This program is a construction type project cost share program that provides cost share funding to install the following practices in addition to maintain them for their useful life period.

A comprehensive plan for the Upper Maumee River Watershed. Developed through collaboration of Allen County Soil and Water Conservation District and Defiance County Soil and Water Conservation District.
The Upper Maumee Watershed consists of 14 sub-watersheds over 4 counties in Indiana and Ohio.
To protect and restore the Upper Maumee River Watershed through public education and participation via planning and implementation of best management practices with the goal of improving local and regional water quality, increasing habitat quality, promoting sustainable land use practices and providing recreational opportunities that improve the ecological health of the region.
